Peter leads a diversified family-owned business based in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Labrador. Its interests are primarily in rural Newfoundland and Labrador with ventures in the Eastern Arctic. The company has significant interests in oil distribution, automotive, marine ferries, coastal supply tankers, military contracting and real estate. Woodward’s Oil has been serving the petroleum and transportation needs of Labrador customers since 1960. The group of companies employs in excess of 800 Newfoundlanders and Labradorians.

Peter serves as a director of The Shaw Group and Emera and has previously served as Chair of Labrador Health Corporation, Labrador College and Premier’s Advisory Council. He has also been a board member of F.P. Resources and Newfoundland Power.
