St. John’s, NL – Last evening, Junior Achievement of Newfoundland and Labrador hosted its signature fundraising event, the JA Business Hall of Fame, celebrating business excellence in the province.
This year’s inductees included Cathy Bennett, entrepreneur, board director and consultant; Aubrey and Reginald Budgell, entrepreneurial brothers form Triton; and Jamie King, Brendan Brothers and Raymond Pretty, co-founders of Verafin. The achievements of the laureates were celebrated during a ceremony at the St. John’s Convention Centre. Laureates were recognized and honoured for their investment, commitment and success in both community and business.
Since 1990, the Junior Achievement Newfoundland and Labrador Business Hall of Fame has recognized and celebrated business excellence in our province. Junior Achievement is a registered charity whose purpose is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy. In Newfoundland and Labrador, Junior Achievement delivers business education programs to students in grades 3 -12. These programs focus on entrepreneurship, financial literacy and workforce readiness. Programs are delivered in-person, virtually and through hybrid models. Volunteers from the business community are integral to JA program delivery. “We are delighted to gather and celebrate the achievements of our newest Laureates.
