Paul Antle

In the late 1980’s with a master’s degree in engineering and a
one dollar bill, Paul Antle started his first business venture in his
mom’s basement. At that time, he sold dangerous goods labels
and placards while working to establish a business brokering
hazardous waste disposal services.

From there, Paul became a pioneer of environmental industries
provincially, nationally and internationally. He has started
numerous businesses, developed environmental technology,
created hundreds of jobs and exported to over 15 countries on
4 continents.

After selling many of his environmental businesses established
in the 90’s, Paul is now president and CEO of Pluto Investments
Inc., his personal private equity company. Pluto’s acquisitions
include the St. John’s Dockyard (Newdock) and Humber Motors
Ford Ltd. Paul employs over 400 people.

Paul Antle has chaired numerous boards, has been defined as
a community builder and has been widely recognized for his
industry achievements, mentorship and philanthropic giving.
Paul’s awards and honours include: Atlantic Business Magazine
Business Hall of Fame; EY Atlantic Canada Entrepreneur of the
Year; Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee Medal; Recipient of
a Canada-China Business Council Excellence Award.
